VBQ

I listen at night as the slightly bent hangtag, a square piece of cardboard looped with a string to the lamp clamped to the bookshelf just above my head, clangs into the metal lampshade propelled by the tunnel of air coming from the Coolmaster fan set at the foot of my bed.  The sound of the tag reminds me of a Zen bell, clearing the air of all impurities.  The tag hits the metal of the lampshade at random, with no particular pattern,  it calms me, and with each little clang, I remember silence again.

It’s my favorite thought -- VBQ
