The Natchitoches Art Guild is featuring its 17th Annual Juried Competition and Exhibition in its Gallery located at 584 Front Street, Suite 102 in historic downtown Natchitoches from August 2nd – 28th, 2010. Click Here for Brochure and Application A gala reception in the Gallery will open the show on Saturday, August 7th. Award winners for the five categories of Oil and Acrylic, Watercolor, Photography, Other 2-Dimensional Media, and 3-Dimensional Art will be announced during the reception, as well as the overall Best of Show winner. Juror M. Douglas Walton will be present to speak about the art entries and congratulate the winning artists. The reception begins in the Gallery at 7:00 PM, and the public is invited to attend. Principal Sponsors for this event are First Federal Bank of Louisiana, CLECO, and AT&T. Other Sponsors to date are Mayor and Mrs. Wayne McCullen, Senator Gerald Long, Dr. and Mrs. Greg Bell, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Sharplin, Edwina Ferrer-Westrop, Mary Hand Pruitt, Bonnie Hand Chance, Mr. and Mrs. James Durham, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Durham, Ms. Frances Outland, Ms. Vicki Murchison, and the businesses of Peoples State Bank, Impressions by Dunagan, Be Hair Now, Ryder River Ridge Farms, Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, and Bolton Enterprises. The Exhibition runs through Saterday, August 28th and is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday, 1:30 pm - 5 pm, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm, and Sunday, 11 am - 3 pm.
