The guest artist for March is Clare Pousson of Wimberly, Texas. She has been an artist for 20 plus years, working in ceramics; as a ceramic artist, she participated in exhibits in 18 states and won several awards including Best of Show at Art Falls in Sioux Falls, SD. “After spending over fifteen years focusing on creating ceramic vessels with elaborate painted designs, my urges to paint on different surfaces became overwhelming. Executing acrylics on canvas appears to currently satisfy these desires. I am now focusing on female figures that exude a peaceful quality, and floral images that are pleasing to the eye. Underway are also some collage style abstract imagery incorporating print-making embellishments.” Clare’s “Meet and Greet” has been scheduled for March 13th, the same day as the Art Along the Bricks Festival, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. |
